TipicoAtipico is a souvenir collection created by Lanificio Leo - the oldest Calabrian textile factory, as well as a company-museum - which investigates the expressive potential of graphics applied to a traditional technique in an alternative and contemporary way. Recovering the ancient technique of handmade rust woodcut on fabric, contemporary fonts and graphics are applied as decoration on commonly used objects (bags, clogs, tea towels, etc.). These reconstruct an iconographic imagery linked to the identities of the Italian regions, declining the concept of typicality in a new, ironic and current way.
