EcoAllene® is a printable and extrudable plastic obtained from the recovery and recycling of the plastic and metal fractions that make up the multilayer packaging for food and beverages. Specifically, the manufacturing company has developed and patented a process for the fusion of scraps and waste deriving from polylaminates in polyethylene (LDPE) and aluminum, the "tetrapak", generating a third, such as to be inserted into circular economy processes. The material has properties equal to first choice polymers, it is in turn 100% recyclable, it is easy to color and customize, and starting from its granular form it is workable like common thermoplastic polymers.
